2-day job fair begins at Tetso College

 

Job seekers thronged the Tetso College auditorium as the two-day job fair, organized by YouthNet in partnership with Tetso College, began Friday. About 30 companies have set up stalls to interview job seekers both fresher’s as well as experienced in different fields like IT, management, hospitality, retail, banking etc.
Some of the clients participating in the fair are Bird Avaiation, Guwahati, ICICI Bank, Hundred Fold Academy, Café Coffee Day, Longpok Holdings, Bambusa, Hotel Highway Lodge, Pro-Rural, Niathu Resort, Mahindra, JCB, Aptech Aviation Academy, NIIT etc. Some more clients are expected to join in the fair on Saturday.
Talking to media persons, Lezo Putsure said that the vision of YouthNet is to build a strong private sector in Nagaland taking into consideration that government jobs are at an exhaustion point. While informing that YouthNet has recruited more than 1500 jobs in the last three years, Putsure said that the ongoing fair is expected to recruit 200-250 during the two days. Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Kvulo Lorin, director-administration of Tetso College, keynote address by Avizo Nakhro, EAC chumukrdima and a special number was presented by Kevitho Kera.
The panel discussion was led by Neli Adahe, Pro Rural as moderator, Augustine Ngatuba (Quest Alliance), Medo Putsure (Bambusa) and Nuneseno Chase (YouthNet) and the programme was chaired by Linet.
