Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, PMKVY is a flagship of the ministry of skill development & entrepreneurship. The objective of the skill certification scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.
TOURISM & HOSPITALITY
Under this scheme YouthNet is providing training on Front Office Associate under Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council. Candidates who are class 12 pass and above 18 years are eligible for undertaking this course.
YouthNet in collaboration with National Skills Development Corporation- NSDC, launched the pilot project on Homestays. Homestay training was implemented under the Special Projects of PMKVY – Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna. The main idea is to empower young people with employment opportunities and also increase tourism growth within the Northeast. The Training duration was for 52 days and was conducted at Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) Mon, Mokokchung, Kohima & Kigwema (Nagaland)
