Antarang Foundation, YouthNet, and the Department of School Education have partnered through a 5-year tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the Nagaland Career Education Model across all government schools. This initiative, known as CareerAware and CareeReady, provides comprehensive career awareness and readiness programs for students in Grades 9-12. Specifically, Grade 9 focuses on 14 “Self Aware Career Choices” sessions, while Grade 10 engages in 6 sessions on “Transition to 11th/Diploma,” including subject selection and post-exam support. Grade 11 encompasses 14 sessions for “Career Plan + Work Skills,” emphasizing work experience and skill development, and Grade 12 concludes with 6 sessions for “Enrollment into Degree/Diploma, Apprenticeship,” guiding students in course selection and providing further transition support. The entire model is supported by a trained Career Facilitator, one parent session per grade, and 24/7 chatbot assistance, aiming to significantly increase students’ likelihood of securing and retaining a career of their choice upon entering higher education.
