Skill Development

Skill development department was created keeping in mind the changing lifestyles and market demands in order to provide youth with better livelihood opportunities by empowering them with necessary life skills. We emphasized on training and skilling of unemployed youth, schools & college drop-outs from both urban and rural areas in order to make them employable in organised as well as unorganized sectors both in Nagaland and other parts of India. Since its inception in 2017, we have trained more than 397 candidates in various Sector Skill Councils like Tourism & Hospitality, Electronics, Telecom, Green Jobs and Solar- National Institute of Solar Energy.

Four Wheeler Service Assistant (DAY-NULM)

Free training under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission(DAY-NULM)

To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.

A free certified training program in partnership with NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development)

NABARD, over the years, has evolved several refinance and promotional schemes for development of Off Farm Sector and has been making constant efforts to broad base and refine/rationalise its schemes in response to needs at the field level.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, PMKVY is a flagship of the ministry of skill development & entrepreneurship. The objective of the skill certification scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.

This programme aimed to skills of youths, considering the opportunities of employment in the growing solar energy power project’s installation, operation & maintenance in India & abroad. This programme was design to prepare the candidates to become new entrepreneurs in solar energy sector. Sponsored by the ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt of India. The training duration was for 600 hrs, where the candidates had theory & practical sessions along with onsite installation visits.
