Treasures of Nagaland Exhibition a Resounding Success

The “Treasures of Nagaland Exhibition-Cum-Sale,” a 10-day event held from 2nd to 11th December in Kohima, Nagaland, successfully promoted local artisans, entrepreneurs, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The event was organized by YouthNet and sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and supported by Nagaland Tourism, Government of Nagaland.

Over 10,500 visitors attended the event, which was held at the Made in Nagaland Centre. With total sales of ₹6.50 lakh, the exhibition promoted cultural expression, market linkages, and economic empowerment for participants.

The event featured 15 stalls showcasing 23 businesses offering a diverse array of products, including: Handlooms, Handicrafts, Food products, Floriculture, Beauty & wellness products, and Accessories.

The impact and outcomes of the event included: Revenue generation, Market expansion, with participants securing bulk orders and establishing new buyer connections, Skill development through enhanced understanding of market demands, Community impact by inspiring local pride and entrepreneurial aspirations.

Shri. Pauliankap Bulte, General Manager of NABARD, inaugurated the event on December 2, 2024.

Other distinguished visitors included: The Governor of Mizoram, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, and Lady Governor Jayasree Kambhampati; Nagaland MLA & Advisor, Industries & Commerce Department, Hekani Jakhalu; Ms. Hanisha Vaswani, Managing Partner, Majority Funds, and team.

The event concluded on December 11, 2024, marking a resounding success in promoting cultural heritage, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating economic opportunities in Nagaland. YouthNet and NABARD’s collaboration paved the way for future initiatives to drive sustainable growth in the region
