- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical)
Role Summary:
This is a great opportunity to gain expertise in solar energy, one of India’s fastest-growing sectors. Hamara Grid Project Officers live and work in rural villages to install, maintain and operate micro-grid systems, and drive utilization across the community. In this role you will gain exposure to the workings of rural life and be responsible for building strong relationships with key partners across the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar mini-grids
- Maintain and supervise mini-grids operations and running of agriculture machines
- Build strong community engagement to drive energy utilisation, sales and collections
- Manage production and quality of agriculture operations and micro-businesses
- Live in the village and manage all local assets, relationships and employees
- Respond to management queries and deliver daily quality and revenue reporting
Requirements:
- Strong verbal communicator (English, Hindi). Knowledge of Nagamese would be a great asset
- You are excited to work and stay in the field
- You have a service mindset and work effectively in a team to meet the community’s needs
