The State Level Business Compliance Services Workshop was held organized by the Department of Industries and Commerce and YouthNet, under Nagaland state Startup Policy 2019. Today, with the promotion of startups, the standard of business has moved from the traditional way
of doing business to a strict standard of business with various compliances. We have to ensure that businesses conform to standards, regulations and laws of the industry therefore, the workshop deliberated in on the following themes:
- Regulatory and Legal Compliance
- Financial Services Compliance
- Corporate Record
- Venture Capital
The workshop aimed to aid value to the business sense of one and all, especially the emerging Naga entrepreneurs of the state who require the guidance and path-breaking ideas to lead their way through the markets on this day.
Day 1
The day one workshop was held on the 14th March 2022 in Dimapur at YouthNet Dimapur Office, where the welcome address was shared by Smt. Nuneseno Chase, Director, YouthNet and the address was shared by Special Guest Smt. Rarenbenla, Functional Manager, District Industries Centre, Dimapur who shared about the importance of entrepreneurship in our local market economies which act as the wheels of the local economic growth which stimulate new employment and other opportunities.
Resource person Shri. K. Jianthailung, Branch Manager, NEDFi and Smt. Sentimenla Changkija, Branch Head, North East Small Finance Bank Ltd. shared on the technical aspect of business compliance.
Day 2
The second day workshop was held on the 15th of March 2022 in Kohima at YouthNet Kohima Office, where the welcome address was shared by Razouvikhol Luho, Manager, YouthNet Business Development and Corporate Communications and Smt. Hekani JakhaluChair & Founder, YouthNet and the address was given by address was shared by Special Guest Smt. Keneirienuo K Theunuo, Assistant Director of Department of Industries and Commerce who is also the nodal officer for startup Nagaland deliberated on the importance of compliance in business where local entrepreneurs failures in taking steps to meet compliance obligations and fulfilment usually results in missed opportunities. Understanding and meeting the requirements will help Naga entrepreneurs take advantage of any benefits ahead.
