YouthNet launched the North East India first Startup Incubation Program for Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, and Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries and Commerce on Monday, 12th December 2022 at YouthNet Dimapur Office as part of YouthNet Incubation Centre program with a coworking space dedicated for the entrepreneurs of Persons with Disabilities. YouthNet Incubation Centre provide access to infrastructure, networking, financing and related business services for the entrepreneurs.
Earlier Miss Nuneseno Chase the Director of YouthNet in her welcome address highlighted the importance of inclusiveness for all kind of entrepreneurs and is sought to be the most effective way to share the platform necessary whilst giving a fair chance to learn and develop the skills they need to thrive and their business to prosper.
Shri Lhoushevikho Lhoushe the Inspector of Industries, Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries & Commerce in his special address highlighted an overview of the key factors of the Startup Nagaland Policy 2019 and the department initiatives for the entrepreneurs benefits, he also hinted to consider in designing and amending the policies for the benefit of the Persons with Disabilities.
Ms. Ashe H Kiba, Program Coordinator from the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities also highlighted on the Inclusive programs that allows entrepreneurs of all backgrounds to learn and grow side by side for the benefit of all.
Smt. Diethono Nakhro, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Nagaland through a virtual message thank YouthNet for the opportunities and also on the government efforts to foster and monitor inclusive systems for all categories at all levels from Advocacy, Awareness creation to Implementation support.
Earlier the Invocation was done by Hinoto Chophy proprietor, Gogivers Recruitment Agency, Experience with YouthNet was shared by Lovitoli proprietor, Lovi Twine and the program was chaired by Neikepekho Shosahie, Manager, YIC.
It may be mentioned that YouthNet Incubation Centre supports and nurture innovative entrepreneurs and startups in their pursuit to become scalable and sustainable business whilst offering a practical and engaging program to help entrepreneurs build business successfully. YouthNet Incubation Centre is the first Business Incubator in the State under the Startup Nagaland Policy 2019, Department of Industries and Commerce. YouthNet endeavors to embodies the entrepreneurial spirit in Nagaland. Over the years, we have curated programs that attempt to reach every niche of the business ecosystem with 91 entrepreneurs currently in incubation, over 35 entrepreneurs funded, over 80 events conducted in 15 months and with 3 coworking spaces for entrepreneurs at free of cost. YouthNet Incubation Centre endeavours to provide support to successfully scaleup business, drive innovation forward and create positive impact.
