Courses:
- Identify the basic tools, equipment, and materials used in this trade. Demonstrate how to store, handle and use them safely.
- Carry out preparation of all types of basic surfaces for painting works. Examples. Kitchen walls (oily surface), Bathroom walls (wet/moisture surface), Exterior walls (choosing the right paint for each climate, exterior furnishing), Ceiling (reduce reflect light, hide any irregularities and defects in the ceiling), etc.
- Carry out erection and disassembling of the temporary structure up to 3.6 m (12 feet) in height.
- Adopting safe work practices at every step.
- Demonstrate how to mix paint properly according to instructions/ specifications for various finished surfaces like wood panels, metal or masonry surfaces, etc.
- Using oil bound distemper (OBD), acrylic and emulsion paints as per the requirement
