Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Vocationalisation of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education by the Ministry of Human Resources Development to integrate employability education into school Education in September 2011. The main objective of this project is to implement Vocational Education in identified sectors under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for vocationalisation of School Education in alignment with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) in the schools of Nagaland.
Under the scheme of Vocationalisation of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, a vocational subject is offered for Classes 9 , Class 10, Class 11, and Class 12 along with general education to provide vocational skills and necessary employability for a variety of occupations.
