Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries and Commerce celebrated the National Startup Day Celebration 2023 along with the rest of the Country, and in the Department’s efforts to boost the Nagaland Startup Ecosystem, Startup Nagaland organized a Session and product exhibition for startups and entrepreneurs from Nagaland at YouthNet Incubation Centre in Dimapur on the 16th January, 2023.
Smti. Keneirienuo K Theunuo, Assistant Director (Tech) & Team Leader, Department of Industries & Commerce in her welcome address stated that the Startup Nagaland aim to promote and encourage the startup culture in the state, she also hinted on the Startup India initiative which was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in 2016 which aims to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation and Startups in the country that will drive sustainable economic growth and generate huge employment opportunities.
Er . Y. Lipongse Thongtsar, Joint Director, Department of Industries & Commerce in his keynote address noted to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation in the state that can scale to large degree, furthermore he reflected on simplification and handholding support.
Whereas the journey as an Incubator was shared by the five incubators in the state viz. YouthNet Incubation Centre, EduCentre School of Business, Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NAGABOTS. The program is chaired by Neikepekho Shosahie, Manager, YIC, whereas ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd shared their Startup Experience, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Lezo Putsure, CEO, EduCentre respectively.
It may be mentioned that with an aim to honour the extraordinary contributions and achievements of Naga entrepreneurs in shaping the startup landscape of Nagaland, Startup Nagaland in collaboration with entrepreneurs and key ecosystem stakeholders across the length and breadth of the state organized the National Startup Day 2023.
