YouthNet Career Development Centre (YCDC)

YouthNet Career Development Centre, earlier known as Nagaland Career Development Centre (NCDC) is the training cell in YouthNet. With the belief that generating employable youth is as important as creating jobs, YCDC helps in empowering the young Nagas with the necessary skills, confidence and positive attitude required by the public and private sectors. People trained by YCDC have increased sensitivity to aspects of professional behavior and report fewer rejections in interviews. Since its inception in 2012, YouthNet Career Development Centre has trained about 10000 students, 3000 job seekers, and more than 1000 professionals.

Our Training Programs

Lack of proper guidance at an early stage is one of the leading causes of Youth unemployment these days. Even an advanced degree can’t protect some of our best from tumbling down. We believe in honing other essential skills required in today’s competitive world. Understanding the importance of this newly raised important aspect, most of the educational institutions in India have initiated programs, projects and activities for their students.

Job Oriented Skill Development Program in Hospitality (Front Office Associates) in association with NABARD Skill Development & Capacity Building Scheme. With an aim at developing skills and also providing employment opportunities to the educated unemployed candidates, YouthNet in partnership with National Bank For Agriculture And Rural Development (NABARD) organized a Job Oriented Skill Development Training Program in Hospitality (Front Office Associates) under NABARD’s Skill Development & Capacity Building Scheme.

YouthNet started Accenture’s ‘Skills to Succeed’ global initiative through Quest Alliance to address the serious unemployment issue in Nagaland. This program trains job seekers in Retail and Hospitality Management, Employability and Work Skills.

Soft skills are quintessential elements that enhance our outer and inner selves and bring about a positive change to our lives. Each individual has a distinct persona that can be developed, polished and refined. This process includes boosting one’s confidence, improving communication and language speaking abilities, widening one’s scope of knowledge, developing certain hobbies or skills, learning fine etiquette and overall imbibing oneself with positivity, liveliness and peace.

Career guidance is a means of empowerment for students to make informed decisions and be responsible for their future, from choices on their learning, occupations, career goals and other aspects of life. Career guidance encourages students to make smarter career decisions in accordance with their interests, abilities and prepares them for the future. It actualizes an individual’s potential through the pursuit of their personal/career goals.
