Employment
YouthNet is a non-profit organization based in Nagaland, a state in northeast India. It was founded in 2006 with the aim of empowering young people and fostering socio-economic development in the region. One of the main ways YouthNet achieves this is by addressing the issue of unemployment among young people in Nagaland.
Nagaland has a high unemployment rate, particularly among its youth population. This is due to a variety of factors, including limited job opportunities, a mismatch between the skills of job seekers and the requirements of employers, and a lack of access to training and development programs. YouthNet has recognized this challenge and has been working towards bridging the gap between job seekers and employers in the private sector through its Talent Management and Recruitment division, the YouthNet Job Centre (YJC).
