Nagaland Forest Management Project

Nagaland Forest Management Project – NFMP (JICA) Supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Government of Japan, is a 46 Million Euro (400 Crore approx) JICA forestry project in the state of Nagaland “to improve forest ecosystem and support income generation by rehabilitation of Jhum Cultivation” implemented by the Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of Nagaland &  supported by the Government of Japan.

Mobius Young Professionals

The Mobius Young Climate Leaders for Himalayan Development Project led by the Climate Studies and Knowledge Solutions Centre, Government of Nagaland with support from the Department of Environment Forest and Climate Change and Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (NBSE) and the Hearth Advisors. The project being implemented by YouthNet is being generously supported by the Mobius Foundation.

YouthNet Van Dhan Vikas Kendra – VDVK

YouthNet in association with MARCOFED and Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Govt. of Nagaland launched Van Dhan Vikas Kendra (VDVK) in Tuophema Botsa Blocks under Kohima District; where 15 SHGs/SAMUH comprising of 300 members were trained under the Mechanism for Marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) through Minimum Support Price (MSP) & Development of Value Chain. 

Banana Fibre Extraction

 

NTT Data and YouthNet, with the aim of empowering many lives, initiated the strategy of utilizing available resources and creation of employment generation through it. With this aim, YouthNet is implementing a training program on the Banana Fibre Extraction Unit & production of value-added products at Bade Village under Dhansiripar sub-Division, Nagaland.

Pig Farming

 

To promote livelihood opportunities, a group of 9 (nine) entrepreneurs from Dhansiripar area received seed funding under YouthNet to suffice for three piglets per entrepreneur in April 2022. Pigs are raised by entrepreneurs themselves in their respective localities which feed on dry pellets feed costing 1600/- per bag weighing 50kgs
