With the objective of promoting and empowering local skilled workers, YouthNet in partnership with the Department of Labour and Employment launched “Dial Nagaland” in 2015. Dial Nagaland is a classified directory of 655 local skilled workers whose services can be availed by simply dialing a number (70850-50006) for services such as plumbers, carpenters, electricians, masons and painters.
Dial Nagaland was conceptualized and created to address the issue of available but inaccessible local skilled workers including the innumerable skilled people from ITIs across the state. It also acts as a platform to promote the local skilled workers by creating linkages with the public at large. Dial Nagaland also seeks to improve the level of professionalism of the skilled workers through training and workshops.It further strive to streamline the local skilled labour industry in the state.
