In an effort towards encouraging college students to help in bringing about a transparent and accountable government system, an essay competition under the theme, “The role of youth in bringing good governance through Right to Information” was held on July 20. The competition was organised by YouthNet in partnership with Nagaland Information Commission (NIC) at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.
Medonguno M Chasie of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama; Ketshunuo of Baptist College, Kohima and Alvin Solo of Immanuel College, Dimapur were adjudged the winners of the competition and were awarded the First, Second and Third Prize respectively. They received their prizes from Neiphiu Rio, the then Chief Minister of Nagaland during the RTI week on October 5, 2012 at the Conference Hall of the Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
