The 3rd Cohort of North East Entrepreneurship Fellowship (NEEF) 2020 begins

North East Entrepreneurship Fellowship is the brainchild of Young Leaders Connect, an initiative of IEF Foundation and YouthNet. An annual fellowship program that brings together the brightest and high growth entrepreneurs from across the region. Each fellowship consists of entrepreneurs from all 8 states of the North East, India, to come together for a yearlong fellowship of knowledge and exposure, networking opportunity and financial access.

Mr. Sourabh Mishra, Managing partner-Branding & Co-founder of Azendor Consulting Pvt.Ltd. as the resource person of the first session of NEEF Cohort 2020.

The first session of the 3rd Cohort of NEEF was held on 21st-22nd February 2020 at YouthNet office in Dimapur, Nagaland, on the topic “Branding” by Advertising and Branding veteran Mr.Sourabh Mishra. With over 25 years of experience, the Economic Times calls him the Ad man. In the past, he has worked at advertising agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi India, TBWA/India, Everest, Ogilvy, McCann Erickson and Contract. He now owns and runs his own brand consulting firm for the last three years as Managing partner-Branding & Co-founder of Azendor Consulting Pvt.Ltd.


The 3rd Cohort of North East Entrepreneurship Fellowship (NEEF) 2020 consist of 16 entrepreneurs from the North Eastern states of India, each from different areas of field such as Food processing, Music, Tourism, IT & Program development, Interior designing etc.

Branding and Marketing being one key element of every high growth businesses and establishment around the world, the highlight of the first NEEF session on branding largely revolved around understanding the terminology, origin and meaning of brand; contrast study between brands; brand building & development; brand positioning and strategizing etc.

Entrepreneurship has only gained relevance in the recent years, especially in North East India, with the growth of young people from the region starting to explore entrepreneurship, it is crucial that learning opportunities and exposures are made accessible for entrepreneurs with the right platform.

NEEF fellows with the YouthNet team visits Nagaland Coffee in Dimapur. A cafe own by one of NEEF cohort 2019. Nagaland Coffee is also being exported to various parts of the world too.

 

NEEF fellows visit Cane Concept, a company based in Nagaland which produces various types of furniture, craft, and home decors using cane, bamboo and weave.

North East India is one of the hidden treasures of India, home to the hill people, a diverse and unique culture that is different from the rest of India, hidden nature’s gifts to be explored. The people of this region have so many to offer to the rest of the world and country, and entrepreneurs of this region are now stepping up to be an impact and ambassadors of North East India. The next session of North East Entrepreneurship Fellowship will be held later in the month of June.
