Skill Upgradation Training for Senior Level Government Officers by YouthNet

Learning is a lifelong process and no matter where one is in life, there is always room to learn and grow, even if it means learning from younger people. With keen interest by the officials of the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, to upskills themselves as well as get to know more about young people, YouthNet had the privilege of giving skill training to the Senior Level Officers of the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Government of Nagaland on the topic: Skill Upgradation, Management, Finance and Leadership, on 18th & 19th February 2020 at DES Conference Hall, Kohima.

At the Inaugural Program chaired by Shri. Neidilhou Angami, Joint Director, Shri. Y. Sacheo Ovung, Director, in his short speech, motivated all the participants present to make to most use of the two days training program as such programs are hard to be organized often. He also asserted that as a government official, it is by convention by the public that they are expected to be well professed in these areas and he thanked the YouthNet for such training opportunity where they can enhance themselves with these skills.

The two days training was filled with group activities and interactions divided into numerous sessions. It was an opportunity for YouthNet to also learn more about the department and their work as well as them learning more about us. This we believe will pave bigger ways for state functionaries and youth to work together for a brighter state in the days to come.

The two days training was facilitated by the YouthNet team Ms. Nuneseno Chase (Director of Programs) Ms. Zhabounuo Zumu (HR executive & Trainer), and Ms. Tsepila Zhimomi (Operations Supervisor). The Nagaland Career and Development Centre (NCDC) YouthNet offers ‘Professional Skills Development Program’ where the topics are exclusively designed for managers and employees in the private and public sectors. Focused topics include Professionalism, Effective Communication, Teamwork, Time Management, Motivation, etc.
