Skill development

Skill development department was created keeping in mind the changing lifestyles and market demands in order to provide youth with better livelihood opportunities by empowering them with necessary life skills.

We emphasise on training and skilling of unemployed youth, schools& college drop-outs from both urban and rural areas in orderto make them employable in organised as well as unorganised sectors both in Nagaland and other parts of India.

Since its inception in 2017, we have trained more than 350 candidates in various Sector Skill Council like Tourism & Hospitality, Electronics, Telecom, Green Jobs and Solar- National Institute of Solar Energy.

YouthNet is also the implementing agency for the pilot project on Home-Stay in the North East region under special projects of PMKVY.
